Day training is an intensive training model that recognizes not everybody wants to become a dog trainer. Sometimes, you just want relief from your dog’s behavior, and you don’t have the time or bandwidth to do intensive training on your own. That’s okay!

Day training is an intensive training model designed to make fast training progress in your own home. Your dog will work directly with a trainer 1:1 in the exact setting where the behaviors need to take place, and the trainer will then teach you how to keep up with these behaviors. No homework or extra work on your end – just fast relief from your dog’s behavioral struggles!

During the week, Laura will meet with your dog in your home for three, one-hour training sessions. While you are always welcome to watch, these are not coaching sessions – Laura will work directly with your dog to efficiently build new skills and behaviors.

Over the weekend, there is a transfer session where Laura will show you what your dog has learned and teach you how to maintain these behaviors. There is no homework or intensive training on your part – Laura does all the heavy lifting, and you simply follow instructions to keep up with your dog’s new skills!

Nope! You will need to arrange for Laura to enter your home, but you do not need to be present for the weekly sessions, only the weekend transfer session. This makes day training an excellent model for guardians who work full time out of the home, as training can replace a walk or other mid-day service.

Yep! After each session, Laura uploads notes and videos that detail your dog’s progress. You’ll be amazed how quickly your dog can learn under the guidance of a professional trainer.

Day training packages are 2, 3, or 4 weeks long. During your initial consultation, Laura will discuss your goals and advise you of the appropriate package length to meet them.

2 weeks (6 sessions + 2 transfer sessions) – $1,800

3 weeks (9 sessions + 3 transfer sessions) – $2,565 (5% discount)

4 weeks (12 sessions + 4 transfer sessions) – $3,240 (10% discount)

Day training is good for both basic training and many types of behavior modification. Day training is a good fit if you:

  • Need fast relief from your dog’s behaviors
  • Don’t have much free time to learn a new skill (dog training) and practice regularly throughout the week
  • Work full-time out of the house and need enrichment/exercise for your dog during the day

Book your free phone consult HERE to discuss whether day training is the right fit for you and be on your way to fast training progress!
