All Dogs Are Good Dogs
Each year in the United States, around 3.1 million dogs find their way into shelters, many abandoned or surrendered their guardians. According to the ASPCA, the top reason cited for owner surrender is “pet problems,” including aggression and other undesirable behaviors.
These “unwanted problems” can range from puppy-like behaviors such as mouthing, barking excessively, jumping on people, or pulling on a leash to more serious problems like aggression and separation anxiety. Housebreaking difficulties are also a common issue.
All Dogs Are Good Dogs’ trainer Dr. Laura (Claire) Frizzell used her scientific education and extensive experience with rescue organizations to develop personalized training strategies that utilize humane, science-backed dog training methods. Her approach tailors each training plan to the individual dog’s needs, resulting in not only better-behaved dogs but also happier canine companions.
Over the years, she’s had the privilege of fostering many dogs and has developed a special passion for dogs facing behavioral challenges. These experiences inspired her to become a trainer and establish All Dogs Are Good Dogs. Her mission is to help families and their pets build strong, lasting relationships, thus reducing the number of dogs entering shelters and ensuring more dogs can enjoy happy lives in loving homes. Her belief is that every dog has the potential to thrive with the right support and understanding.

Can A Dog Trainer Really Help Me?
The short answer is YES! There is solid, scientific support behind the methods we use in our training. While dog training is often the last resort for struggling people and their dogs, it is often the most effective tool that keeps the owner/dog relationship intact.
All Dogs Are Good Dogs provides expert dog training in the Greater Boston, MA, area. All services include collaboration with other professionals as necessary, such as veterinary behavioral teams, dog walkers, and dog sitters.
Offering true wraparound support, we have office hours between sessions and collaboration with other professionals to ensure we are making a difference across the dog’s day-to-day life, not just during the training session.
Whether you want it done for you or you want to learn to train your dog yourself, dog training is the best investment you can make in the long-term happiness of your life with your dog. The first step starts with making sure you choose an educated, science-based, humane trainer.

Force-Free, Fear-Free Dog Training
Dog training is a science (there’s no such thing as a dog whisperer!), and the scientific evidence is very clear: Reinforcement-based training is not only the most ethical approach, but it’s also the most effective for long-term behavior change.
In fact, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) recommends using only reward-based training methods for all dog training, including behavior modification. This approach is considered the most effective and humane way to train dogs. For more details, you can read the full statement from AVSAB.
Moreover, positive reinforcement methods do not run the risk of developing or worsening aggression in dogs.
Laura holds many certifications that demonstrate her competency and commitment to continuing education, including an Accredited Dog Trainer through the IAABC, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the CPDT, and fear-free certification. She is a member of collaborative, science-based dog communities, including the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
Laura understands that dog guardians who are struggling emotionally with difficult behaviors from their dog deserve competent, science-based training that is effective, efficient, and offers the best chance of changing their dogs’ behavior.
At All Dogs Are Good Dogs, owners are educated to help them better interact with their dogs and have a more fulfilling relationship with them.
Our Happy Clients Say It All
The best way to know if a trainer is effective is to hear directly from the people (and their dogs) who have completed it themselves.
Each success story is another dog saved and another relationship restored.

Because of our commitment to keeping rescued dogs in their homes, we offer limited coaching slots in a Sliding Scale Program. If you need training support to keep your rescue or shelter dog in your home and would need to sacrifice basic needs (food, water, shelter) to afford training, you qualify for the program. There are a limited number of slots available each month, but interested guardians can get on our waiting list. We do not ask for proof of need and trust guardians to be honest in what they can pay.
